🔴 City with at least one stopped pick-pocket
Editor's Note: This testimonial is the second stop by Rob S. from San Diego. He previously wrote in with a testimonial in Japan: 178th Stopped Pick-Pocket: Last Night Out in Okinawa Saved!
Dear Clothing Arts,
Since that incident, I have bought several more pairs of your shorts and pants and have used them in over 10 countries, including high-crime areas like Manila and New Delhi. They have never let me down even the one time a guy on a Jeepney near the rough Ermita area of Manila unbuttoned my back pocket, but fortunately couldn't also get the zipper without me noticing. There was nothing in there but some coins so no issue as I usually utilize the awesome small zipper in the front pocket where it is almost impossible to get to without cutting the pants.
Best wishes for Clothing Art's continued success and always keeping travelers' pockets around the world safe and sound in their journey!
Cheers,
Rob S from San Diego, California
Dear Clothing Arts,
3 times people tried to pickpocket me at the above concert on Nov. 11.
The rear button in this photo was torn off. See photos.
Nothing was stolen.
Thank you.

We Followed Up To Learn More About How It Happened:
Dear Clothing Arts,
Once, a boy on my left tried to go into the front left triple lock pocket and failed.
This is a floor seat without US lawyers, so you are touching skin on all 4 sides of you in Buenos Aires.
After 2 girl attempts from behind where nothing was in the pocket, I pretended to be hot and fainting as many people were (but I am 6 foot 3, shorter people had no air to breathe) and intentionally got myself pulled out of the concert floor area by concert security.
Only today did I notice that this pocket I rarely use as it is a rear pocket had the button missing.
So yes, I was aware of all 3 attempts as they occurred, and after 3 failed attempts, I left that very crowded area, only 5 people deep from the dead zone front barrier with security, after which just 8 feet away was Taylor Swift.
Enjoy the story.

Dear Clothing Arts,
During my October trip to Rome, my Pick-Pocket Proof Pants saved my wallet while on the Metro. During the ride, the man standing next to me told me that the pair of people to my right were pick-pockets and to be careful. I lowered my hand down to my side to block any of their attempts. When I got off the train, I noticed that one of the buttons had been unbuttoned; however, the other was still buttoned, and the zipper remained closed. My pants protected my wallet just as well (or better?) than my hand!
Thank you for having great pants. I recommend them to my friends.
Best regards,
Jon G. from Santa Barbara, California

Dear Clothing Arts,
In Paris, visiting the gardens at Versailles we might have fallen victim to the fake bird poop trick if not for my pickpocket proof shorts. I had never heard of it prior, but while the couple was wiping off the fake bird poop they sprayed on us, I noted the guy's hand trying to get into my pocket. They gave up at that point.
The shorts and pants I bought for this trip have already paid for themselves. Next stop, Rome!
- Jim D. from Eugene, Oregon
Editor's Note: Amazingly, this is your 50th stopped pick-pocket in Paris! We just make these pants. You take them with you on your travels and put the pockets to the test against the best pick-pockets in the world. To stop 1 pick-pocket is an accomplishment, let alone 50 in a single city. From the entire Clothing Arts team, thank you for the support, and continued safe travels!!
Dear Clothing Arts,
Another Parisian Pick-Pocket was thwarted. We were getting on the Metro in Paris this afternoon on our first day in this wonderful city and was jostled by three men. I shifted to give myself more room and noticed my pants pocket on my Clothing Arts pants was no longer secure.
These pants saved me from losing my wallet and ruining the start of our trip. Thank you for making such wonderful pants.

Editor's Note: This is your 49th known stopped pick-pocket in Paris! Lin's testimonial came to us via a ***** review of her Women's Travel Pants. Her husband was wearing a pair of Business Traveler Shorts at the time he stopped the pick-pocket in Paris. We followed up with her via email to get more details on how it happened which you can find below.
-- Here Is Our Follow-Up --
Dear Clothing Arts,
We were on Metro 9, traveling from Iena station to Franklin Roosevelt station to transfer to Metro 1. Metro 9 is a VERY busy line 24/7, and on the weekend, the metro cars on this line are packed like sardines. The metro plays a looping announcement warning of pickpockets. Just as the doors closed, my husband felt a hand scrambling for his side pocket. He grabbed the man's hand and looked him in the eye. When the doors opened at the next stop, he jumped off and rushed away.
My husband turned to me and said, "Good thing you bought these pants". The pickpockets look like everyday people. Suspect everyone! We love Paris. It's a big city with big city challenges, especially for travelers. But I won't hesitate for a second to visit anytime I'm in Europe.
Love the pants!
